Welcome! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at NC State University. My research interests are in Health Economics, Applied Microeconomics, and Public Policy. I study how access to health care and reproductive health services influence health, labor market, and demographic outcomes, and more broadly, how public policies shape individual well-being and population health.
In Fall 2026, I will be joining Southern Methodist University as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Economics Department.
You can view my CV, and feel free to reach me at sbainn@smu.edu or connect with me on LinkedIn.
